Hi, Iβm h0bbl3s

What is this place?
You have found my humble blog. Here you can find a little information about me, things I am passionate about, and maybe some technical blog entries if Iβve gotten around to it.
About me π π€
I am a developer, ham radio operator, cybersecurity specialist, and open source enthusiast. I have been taking apart and building radios and computers since I was a small child.
My first scavenged together PCs werenβt powerful enough to run Windows, but they sure would run unix! IRC and a linux terminal took up much of my time as a young person. Where most people enjoy a good novel, I prefer a technical manual. I spent years learning all I could, from programming in college, to taking online courses when I can.
These days in my free time youβll find me practicing locksport, participating in a ctf, or just relaxing with a videogame. I also enjoy hanging out in various linux and discord servers and helping out where I can.
Work π§βπ» π‘
This love of technology led me to a fascinating career. Some of my favorite work includes:
- My first job beginning in high school repairing pcs and setting up networks
- Running my own company and being the webmaster for over 40 domains including a popular social media website
- Acting as head engineer building custom
images and designing high performing networks with load-sharing and failover systems that function up and down the eastern US to this day
- I spent years in inventory auditing learning SQL and business asset management.
- Contributing to open source projects where I can. I have contributed to
and
directly, and have spent many happy hours helping people get things working in various OSS
Recently I have been honing my skills in pentesting, DevSecOps, and various new programming languages. Iβve been busy working contract jobs in AI/testing while deciding what to do next.
Open Source Software π₯
From and
,
to
and
, every open source OS Iβve used has been an adventure. None of this would have been possible without OSS.
The DNS entries for this site are provided by a FreeBSD server, the site itself, hosted on Debian Linux. Even the tls certificate is from the open source project
